This painting was inspired by a vision
that speaks of the Glory of God descending like a golden rain upon the Land of Wales. The scene shows the Cardigan
Bay coastline at Mwnt which represents this 'Land of my Father's'. As a Christian, I believe that God is our father and
that this land belongs to Him, as the creator of all things in heaven and on the earth. We simply have the privilege of dwelling
here for a season in time. In the centre of the painting is a golden cross, not always apparent at first glance. Even though
He is always there, it seems we have to seek Him also before we find our God and saviour. And catching a glimpse of him, our
heart yearns for more. The cross is central to our faith in Christ, a circle around the centre of the cross shows the
unity that we have in Him. It is painted as a golden mist, representing the 'Shakina' glory of God which is the awesome
presence of the Lord. This land has seen many revivals which have been a sovereign work of God's grace and have shown His
heart of compassion and love for the people of this land. This picture inspires me to believe that He has not
finished with us yet.
